The best part of finally having a veggie plot? Harvesting our very own, home grown veg.
Some might not know what the fuss is about; there weren’t very many of them, and the red and orange ones weren’t very big. But, you see, they are our carrots. Mausi and I, we planted the wee seeds in the spring, we watched excitedly as the tops started to grow, and imagined what was happening underground, and we happily plucked them from the earth a few days ago. Ah yes, we’re most certainly having fun.
The carrots were tasty too…with the exception of the little orange one and that long white skinny one. Those two were terribly bitter. Any ideas?
