Meine ersten Kinderreime illustrated by Constanza Droop is a wonderful collection of rhymes and finger plays for children. Contained in this collection are 22 rhymes including “Hoppe, hoppe, Reiter”, “Zehn kleine Zappelmänner” and “Schlaf, Kindchen, schlaf”.
When I started looking to buy German children’s books in Canada, specifically German board books, it seemed like a monumental task! I was surprised by the lack of options I found (perhaps I just wasn’t looking in the right place…) but after some digging I located some.
